You may call us with any questions, but we prefer that you see us in person with your questions.
You may call (310) 341-4001 to reserve a consultation. Please be prepared with your orthodontic insurance information so that we can confirm it before your appointment. That way you will know exactly what coverage you have and not be unsure. The first phone call takes 10-20 minutes while we gather information.
The First Appointment
At your first visit, you will first meet one of our Treatment Coordinators and then we will perform a visual exam and suggest a treatment plan for you. Most, if not all, of your questions should be answered at this appointment.
If treatment is necessary, it is likely that we will recommend starting, and you might make sure all necessary decision-makers are present or available by phone, because we will be able to get you started. Our treatment coordinator will also address insurance and financial arrangements at this time. Rest assured we provide affordable financing.
- This first visit requires 1 - 1 ½ hours to complete.
- The orthodontic exam is free of charge.
- For snoring exams, there is a $75.00 charge payable at the appointment.
- For TMJ exams there is a $100.00 charge payable at the appointment.
Once the financial arrangements are agreed upon and the paperwork is complete, including an initial payment, we will need orthodontic X-rays and photos to be taken to complete our beginning records. This may be done the same day if our schedule allows, or we may re-appoint you for it.
When these records are complete, we can begin placing the orthodontic appliances. This is usually done at the next appointment after the records-gathering appointment. For Invisalign, the beginning scans of the teeth are usually done at either the initial exam appointment or the records appointment.

Getting Started with Snoring Treatment
If the Dr.'s feel it is likely that apneas are present in your sleep, he will request a sleep study in order to know how severe the apnea is. After the study, the sleep physician in charge of the study may recommend one of several alternative treatments. If you have already had a sleep study, please get us a copy of it.
If a dental device is likely to help reduce snoring and apneas, we will quote the fee. Our treatment coordinator will make financial arrangements and discuss insurance options with you. We will make an impression of your teeth for the device and send models to the lab for construction. The device should be ready in 2 - 3 weeks.
It is our mission to provide you with affordable, high-quality treatment that fits your budget! We offer a variety of affordable financing payment options to meet your needs, including:
- Cash and checks
- Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover
- Flex Spending Account
- Financing through CareCredit, Orthobanc
- Discounts or commissions for referrals from you
If your insurance covers orthodontic treatment, you will receive the benefit of reduced personal costs. Many insurance policies have a lifetime orthodontic benefit that is distinct from regular dental insurance. Remember that insurance policies vary, and we will review your insurance to determine the coverage available according to what the carrier tells us.
We are a preferred provider for many insurance plans and once treatment has started, we will file your claims. However, we do not accept the following plans:
- BlueCross Dental Net (HMO)
- Healthy Families
- Dental Health Services (HMO)
Please remember that orthodontic insurance is a benefit for you or your child. If, during the course of treatment, your benefits change, the financially responsible party is accountable for all charges not paid by any insurance company.
Snoring Medical Insurance
Dental devices to cure snoring are often covered by medical insurance and by Medicare. We can inquire from your carrier whether it is a covered benefit or not. There is a modest charge for us to check it out for you.
